So I'm finally starting a blog/journal/record of my time in Japan.
I finally got around to letting my financial stuff taken care. Hopefully I won't be stranded in Japan with no money because my banks decided that taking out large numbers of cash in order to exchange into yen, renting a sim card, and buying Japanese health insurance would count as suspicious activity. XD
Hopefully...
Otherwise, I'm off on another trip tomorrow to visit the ol' 'Ford and some other people before even attempting to pack. I _think_ I got my stuff together. Or rather, how much stuff I'm going to cut from the final list because I do tend to overpack, even for short trips.
I might need my leather mini-skirt for that _one_ rare occasion in a country where I'd probably be frowned at by the older generations (possibly because I'm a tall girl showing more leg than they are tall? Seriously though, I don't know what goes through those obaasan heads).
Speaking of that. It'll be a pain not being able to dress up as often as I'd like. Meh, I guess I'll deal. I already got in trouble for an isolated incident at camp.
However, it might've been because I was wearing a low cut halter that accidentally reveals my bra with the wind...
Aaaaanyway, enough about that. I'll probably bring along some eyeliner, mascara, and nail polish to satisfy my cravings. >.> Besides, my host family probably wouldn't complain too much as long as I'm not a bad influence on their 9-yo son.
At least, I think I'll be a good influence. I've taught kids his age, and they all (mostly) turned out just fine.
I know that I'm terrible at staying on track for things. Meaning that this blog will probably be forgotten about once my initial adrenaline and excitement runs dry. I don't know what I'll be writing about, but if my own past experiences in life have been story-worthy, I'll probably get some epic happenings in Japan.
Maybe if I had a goal for if I wrote as often as I should be. Anyone have any ideas?

Suggestions for blog-writing? Well, I've never had much luck keeping a blog up-to-date, although I've only missed one day writing in my journal over the past two years. *makes incredulous face* That's starting to seem like a long time... but if you write at least one sentence a day every day for two weeks in some form or another, it'll be a habit! It'd be really cool if you did post a lot, because I want to hear all about it. Especially since you're at Nanzan, where I plan to be next year. When I'm 20, you know, and can buy a cellphone.

Of course I didn't! *evil grin* However, ask nicely and I'll tell you the story of how the evil cricket of doom defeated me, and then I can be return-mocked. Because honestly, it was a bit daft. And I hate that cricket.
